ACTION AREA 1: NEIGHBOURHOOD DEVELOPMENT [NDAA]

Committee Composition: At least one to two Coordinator(s) positions will be filled from this Committee’s membership. NELCE members voluntarily choose whether they wish to serve on this Committee. The Committee size is undefined
Primary Objectives:
- To create a forum for residents to voice concerns and issues in Northeast London
- To advocate, as a collective voice for residents of Northeast London, on matters affecting the community
- To engage the Northeast London residents in the enhancement, enrichment and development of positive change in our neighbourhoods
- To foster and build on relationships established with the City of London and its committees and agencies
- To provide opportunities for community leadership through involvement in community, civic, and agency meetings, forums and initiatives
- To establish and oversee the work of its Action Groups that carry out the work and objectives of this Committee

- Municipal Affairs/Policy & Political Issues
- Neighbourhood Enhancements
- Parks & Recreation including Ed Blake Park-Phase II; Community Gardens
- Poverty Issues
- Public Safety including Accessibility

- Specific Resident Groups (seniors, men, immigrant women)
