NELCE Member Activities:
Committee Composition: At least one to two Coordinator(s) positions will be filled from this Committee’s membership. NELCE members voluntarily choose whether they wish to serve on this Committee. The Committee size is undefined.
Primary Objectives:
- To increase NELCE’s presence and influence in Northeast London
- To develop a strong NELCE identity through the attraction, recruitment and retention of volunteers who want to give back to their Community by offering their gifts, expertise and skills to NELCE
- To develop a public relations strategy through the research, identification and implementation of various promotion and advertising methods that enhance NELCE’s image in the community
- To create, design, develop and coordinate all promotional materials that support NELCE initiatives, events and activities
- To develop a communications strategy including website development and newsletter
- To develop a strategic plan and policy for identifying funding and fund-raising opportunities for NELCE activities
- To strengthen and support the organizational structure of NELCE by overseeing its administrative and governance needs and establishing policies, practices and procedures for its work
- To identify and provide opportunities for skills building and professional development to Council members
- To look for ways to increase and recognize membership involvement in the work of NELCE and its Action Areas
- To be an information resource for the community through the NELCE website and to investigate the feasibility of establishing a “Centre of Information” that would provide residents with easy access to current, helpful information on the private, public and public services and agencies available in the Community, as well as events and activities being held in Northeast London
- To establish and oversee the work of its Action Groups that carry out the work and objectives of this Action Area
